I have shot many a furry creature with this rifle and it has killed all of them. Dead on accuracy, I shot the eye out of a squism at thirty yards while he was running on a tree branch. I also shot the neighbors cat off of my fence at about twenty yards. Shot him good too,..its dead. Dont have much else to say,…great product.

Rec’d the Gamo Varmit Hunter for Christmas ‘08. I’ve tried 4 scopes (including the Leupold off my .06), 5 scope mounts, GAMO’s “scope stop”, and PermaTex thread locker on all the screws. Results have varied from a “shotgun” pattern on the target, to fairly accurate groups for 3-5 shots befor it starts to randomly wander (several inches between shots at 25 yds!!). GAMO support claims that their guns are very sensitive and that I’m holding the gun incorrectly (this was after their direction for thread locker, and purchasing thier scope stop didn’t help – and btw, I’ve hunted for 35 years/been around guns all my life). I’ve tried holding the gun and pulling the trigger in every possible combination. After reading other reviews/posts about GAMO, I’m pretty sure “some” defect is present in “some” of their guns. My final conclusion: don’t buy. If you happen to get one of the defective units, you can get similar accuracy by throwing a rock.

A great price and a very accurate air rifle. Laser sight is superb for taking out varmints in your garden and yard at night. Careful, this is not for children unless strictly supervised. This air rifle IMHO could kill a child if hit accidentally. Treat this exactly like a firearm.

Got it last week at a great price and have now sighted it in. I would have liked fixed sights, and of course the noise reducer. I donno why they just don’t make them standard on all guns. The gun is powerful, and fun to shoot. I also bought the extreme 177, and the Whisper 22. They are really fine guns. Great prices on Amazon. I am waiting for really good prices so I can get the extreme 22. I think the triggers are fine, seem to be smooth with a bit of a long push. I don’t understand the problems with the stock triggers at all. I haven’t put the scope on the whisper, just using the regular sights, and they seem to be great. I donno if I will put the scope on.
